PASTOR'S MESSAGE

The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved." Jeremiah 8:20

Jeremiah the prophet had a difficult task. He was called to preach to a people on the very brink of God's judgment. When he began his ministry, the godly king Josiah was on the throne. Great reforms took place during his reign and the national circumstances looked hopeful. However, with his passing, revival passed away as well. The people went back to their idols and strayed farther away from God. When Jeremiah prophesied that the Babylonians would conquer the land, the people asked Egypt to come to their rescue. However, as the months passed by and judgment came nearer, the Egyptians did not come. The people of Judah could have turned back to their covenant God; instead, they turned to man. The problem was that "man" could not save them.

You may have loved ones still unsaved. You've prayed earnestly in 2011 for God to save their souls, but they are still without Christ. Don't give up. Let's look forward to 2012 as a year of harvest. Let's trust that the seeds we have sown this year will come forth in the hearts of our lost loved ones. God's word will not return void, but He will use it to accomplish His purpose. Keep interceding on their behalf, and may each of you have a blessed New Year!
